A very impressive new Veronica from UK. Royal
Candles has surpassed our expectations in the garden sending up masses of violet blue
flower spikes that first start to appear in May and continue through October - an
incredible 5 months worth of color! The buds first begin to open at the bottom of
the flowering stem and move upward like like a lit fuse. The foliage of this
Veronica is outstanding. The clumps remain a dark green all season long - and the bottom
remains healthy, a charcteristic that some other varieties of Veronica do not have.
Very nice!

Plants are tolerant of a wide range of soil types as long as they drain
well, however for best results amend your soil with compost before planting.
Veronica plants will grow in partial shade but will bloom much better if given a spot in
full bright sun. Feed in early spring with composted manure and then twice again during
the summer with fish emulsion. Cut back faded flower stems to promote additional
flowering.
