This Veronica is a little smaller in stature than others growing to only
about a foot tall making is great for tucking into small spaces. The bright fuchsia-pink
bloom spikes appear from May through the middle of July. Of all the Veronicas we grow
butterflies seem to favor Red Fox over the others. Plants are extremely
vigorous and tolerate partial shade better than other varieties of Veronica.
Veronica 'Red Fox'
Plants are tolerant of a wide range of soil types as long as they drain
well, however for best results amend your soil with compost before planting. Red
Fox does best in full sun but will do fine in partial shade - in fact it is the only
Veronica we recommend for partially shaded areas. Feed in early spring with composted
manure and then twice again during the summer with fish emulsion. Cut back faded flower
stems to promote additional flowering.
