A real garden treasure - the closest to
true blue available in Phlox. Blue Boy sports soft blue flowers with tiny white
eyes. This is an older variety of Phlox which means it is wonderfully fragrant -
much more fragrant than many of the new varieties. Butterflies can not resist the sweet
smells and will flock around it all summer. Blue Boy is a tall one - growing to
nearly 4 feet. One of the longest flowering Phlox we grow.

Plant in full sun and provide a rich well drained soil. Fertilize in early
spring with a top dressing of compost and bone meal. Liquid feed with compost tea or
fish emulsion just as buds begin to form in midsummer. Remove spent flower heads to
prolong flowering. Keep plants well watered during hot dry spells.
