A very exquisite selection with spikes of delicate pea-shaped pink and white flowers.  These gorgeous plants grow into well established clumps, with several stems rising out of a single base. Plants grow to a height of about three feet and may need to be staked if not protected from strong winds. Chatelaine Lupines will add a touch of elegance to any sunny border.

Plant in full sun and provide a rich well drained soil. Fertilize in early spring with a top dressing of compost and bone meal. Lupines like their roots to remain cool - apply a 3 - 4 inch layer of mulch around the plants to help protect their roots from summers heat.
