Versatile and easy to grow, Liriope plants will thrive in shade or sun. The only maintenance these great plants require is an occasional haircut.  Gold Band looks great in the garden all season - the fantastic purple flowers are followed by very dark purple berries. The plants have 3/4 inch wide green leaf blades with a very distinctive gold edge. While most Liriope are used as groundcovers or as edging, Gold Band makes an excellent specimen plant.

Very easy to grow perennial - Plants will grow in either sun or shade, but will flower better in full sun. Liriope is not finicky about soil types but for best results provide a rich soil that has been properly amended with organic materials such as compost and manure.
