Considered to be the standard of
green Liriope - Big Blue is a very attractive evergreen groundcover. Plants have
less tendency to spread by underground rhizomes thereby maintaining its distinctive clump
appearance. The dark green grass-like foliage has a fountain habit and looks great
planted under trees where few other plants will grow.
Liriope 'Big Blue'
Very easy to grow perennial - Plants will grow in either sun or shade, but
will flower better in full sun. Liriope is not finicky about soil types but for best
results provide a rich soil that has been
properly amended with organic materials such as compost and manure.
