One of the most elegant and regal ferns we grow. Cinnamon ferns are
upright and vase shaped growing easily to height of three feet and if proper moisture and
rich soil is present these magnificent ferns can tower to 6 feet. Plants provide a
lush tropical look and thrive in the shade. Don't try to grow this one in anything
but shade - it will not tolerate summers scorching sun. Cinnamon ferns are easy to
grow and do best planted in a moderately rich garden soil that is consistently moist or
even wet. It will not tolerate dry weather so you will need to water regularly
during hot dry spells.
Note: We
have read in gardening books and even in other mail order catalogs that Cinnamon Ferns can
be grown in full sun. This may be true if you have a swamp in your yard - we have tried
countless times to grow them in full sun without success.
