One of our favorites for its durability. Autumn ferns tolerate poorer
conditions and dry spells much better than other ferns we grow. The newly emerging
fronds are a beautiful shade coppery-pink. Mature fronds are shiny and dark green
and contrast nicely with the coppery tones of the new growth. Fronds are evergreen in
areas with mild winters. Autumn Ferns will tolerate some sun if provided with a
moist soil. Cut back old fronds in late winter or early spring to help tidy up the
plant. Clump forming and can be divided every 3 - 4 years. A very easy to grow
perennial fern that looks great as mass plantings.
