Cheerful white blooms with a sharply
contrasting, bright fuchsia-red ring around the medium pink eye-zone. Blooms generously
through out April, May and June and will reward you with another round of flowers in mid
autumn. Very nice dark green foliage that forms a prostrate spreading mat which develops
into a very nice ground cover. Arctic Fire plants will tolerate light shade but seem
to flower more abundantly if given at least 6 hours of good sun. Plant them in a well
amended soil that has good drainage and they will thrive in the garden for years. Dianthus
'Arctic Fire' is right at home in a cottage garden and is the perfect choice for edging
along pathways. Deadhead routinely to encourage longer flowering.
