This recent hybrid introduction of Campanula
comes to us from Britain. Two inch plump bell shaped flowers are the delightful color of
grape ice. Masses of gorgeous blooms dangle from upright stems creating a stunning sight.
Kent Belle begins to bloom towards the end of July and will remain in color for most all
of the growing season when pruned and dead headed. Plants will grow in either full
sun or dappled shade but seem to hold their color longer if protected form the intense
afternoon sun. Give plants a rich, fertile, soil that is moist but well drained. Kent
Belle prefers a slightly alkaline soil so you may need to add a little lime to obtain a
sweeter pH.
*Note - for an interesting color combination plant with Lady's Mantle
