A wonderful sport of Jack Frost. Brunnera
'Looking Glass' displays apple green leaves with a silvery sheen in the first stages of
growth. As the plant matures the large six inch leaves evolve to a nearly solid
silver. Leaves curve downward and gradually become almost completely round. Looking
Glass holds its unique foliage color even in the heat of summer. A very unique
perennial that our customers ask for each year - splendid tucked in with gold hostas.
Order early - very limited supply.
Brunnera 'Looking Glass'
Plant in partial shade to full sun in a soil that has been amended with
organic materials such as compost, peat and manure. Feed in early spring with a top
dressing of composted manure and bone meal. Liquid feed twice during the growing
season with fish emulsion. You will get fuller, tidier plants by lightly pruning
back the basal foliage in the spring and fall. Brunnera will grow best if roots are
kept cool - apply a three inch layer of mulch each spring.
