A member of the dumosus family or New York Aster, Wood's Pink is a
sure bet for autumn color. The plant is covered in clusters of clear pink,
semi-double flower that first start to appear in August and continue through October
despite Jack Frost. Wood's Pink has a dwarf compact habit growing only 12 - 16
inches tall. All Wood's Aster selections are powdery mildew and rust resistant, a common
problem with other Asters. Plant in full sun for best results. The plant will grow
in light shade but tends to flower less and growth will not be as compact. Use
Asters in the perennial garden to add color in those last few months of the growing
season.
