We are very excited to be offering this new US selection of the popular
Panda Face ginger. This Asaurm as very large polished evergreen leaves with light green
highlights. The colors are outstanding and really bring shaded areas of the garden
to life. Ling Ling is very easy to grow and will tolerate deep shade making it a
very useful plant for adding color to heavily shaded areas of the landscape. Not as
cold hardy as Asarum splendens and will need winter protection in zone 6.
Plant in partial shade to full shade and provide a rich well drained soil.
Grows best in a slightly acidic soil. Fertilize in early spring with a top dressing
of compost and bone meal. Asarums are considered drought tolerant once established.
