The
uniquely shaped blossoms are fully double and resemble a tiny dahlia. the flowers of
Nora Barlow are a rose-pink with soft white to light green edges. Very popular
Aquilegia variety among our customers for the past two years. Plant in partial shade
to prolong flowering which begins in early May and continues throughout the last weeks of
June. Provide a well drained soil that you have amended with a good portion of
organic materials such as compost and rotted manure. When planting any new variety
of Aquilegia do not allow the plant to suffer through dry spells. After the plant
becomes at home in the garden all Columbines will tolerate hot dry conditions. Nora
Barlow is one of our personal favorites and we highly recommend it to other gardeners.
