The hood of the flower on Aconitum 'bicolor' is
pale blue with softer white streaks while the lower petals are bright blue. The
deeply cut, glossy foliage is dark green and ads texture to the perennial garden. Blooming
begins in July on 48" arching stems. Bicolor will remain in bloom along its
side branches right on through August. A real treat for the eye when combined with
tall garden Phlox and achilleas. For best results Aconitums need a little help with
moisture during dry spells and need a soil rich in organic matter. Mulch should be
used to keep roots cool and help maintain moisture levels in the soil.
