Gleaming
white flowers with wide flaring falls. The flower form of Gull's Wing very much
resembles that of a Japanese Iris and is one of the latest Siberian Iris's to bloom.
The gorgeous white flowers rise high above the clumps foliage and have been
described as gulls in flight - hence the name. Very delicate looking and the perfect
selection for an all white garden.
Siberian Iris will grow in a wide range of conditions but for best results
grow them in a moist, slightly acidic soil that has been amended with plenty of organic
materials. Plants prefer full sun but do just as well in partial shade.
Established clumps of Siberian Iris are very drought tolerant due to their deep growing
root systems - newly planted ones are not and need a good supply of water to establish
themselves. Mulch with two to three inches of pine bark to conserve soil moisture.
