Without a doubt the most unique Hosta we have ever seen. We'll be honest -
many Hostas are hard to tell from one another - not true with this one! Spilt Milk
is easy to identify! This Tokudama hybrid grows into a magnificent clump of cupped
blue-green foliage. The leaves are misted with an unusual assortment of white
streaking that looks just like someone poured milk over them. Leaves are very thick
making plants very resistant to slugs. The coloration gets stronger as the plant
ages and is not as pronounced in young plants. Definitely a conversation piece for
the garden.

Hostas prefer partial to full
shade and a good rich garden soil that is moist but well drained. Moisture plays a crucial
role in growing beautiful Hosta plants - you will need to water plants during prolonged
dry spells. Feed in very early spring with a top dressing of composted manure and bone
meal. Liquid feed at least twice during the growing season with seaweed extract or
fish emulsion. For more growing instructions see our Hosta
care guide. |
