One of the most unique new Hostas
we have ever seen. The long, narrow leaves are blue green, white underneath and held
up by reddish purple stems (petioles to use the correct botany term). Plants have a vase
like habit and have excellent sun tolerance. We sold out of this one last year very
early in the season and it looks like Red October is going to be just as popular this
year. We have a very limited supply so order early to make sure you get this
stunning new Hosta.

Hostas prefer partial to full
shade and a good rich garden soil that is moist but well drained. Moisture plays a crucial
role in growing beautiful Hosta plants - you will need to water plants during prolonged
dry spells. Feed in very early spring with a top dressing of composted manure and bone
meal. Liquid feed at least twice during the growing season with seaweed extract or
fish emulsion. For more growing instructions see our Hosta
care guide. |
