Hostas prefer partial to full shade and a good rich garden soil that is moist but well drained. Moisture plays a crucial role in growing beautiful Hosta plants - you will need to water plants during prolonged dry spells. Feed in very early spring with a top dressing of composted manure and bone meal. Liquid feed at least twice during the growing season with seaweed extract or fish emulsion. Very nice sport of 'Glory' includes all the best characteristics of its
parent but adds one inch wide, irregular dark green margins. The leaves heart shaped
and a vivid shade golden yellow and are nicely corrugated. A very vigorous grower
forming three feet wide clumps in a relatively short time when compared to other Hostas
that have the corrugated texture. Old Glory has not been on the market very long and
is very hard to find - we have a very limited supply so please order early if you are
interested in this great new Hosta.
