Hostas prefer partial to full shade and a good rich garden soil that is moist but well drained. Moisture plays a crucial role in growing beautiful Hosta plants - you will need to water plants during prolonged dry spells. Feed in very early spring with a top dressing of composted manure and bone meal. Liquid feed at least twice during the growing season with seaweed extract or fish emulsion. A great sport of the very popular
Hosta 'Patriot' with reverse variegation. Leaves have very deep green margins and
one of the best clean white centers we have ever seen in a Hosta. The deep green and milky
white colors really contrast each other and make Loyalist really stand out. The foliage
has very good substance and the white center holds its color well even in summers heat.
In our opinion this is one of the best white centered Hostas on the market.
