Hostas prefer partial to full shade and a good rich garden soil that is moist but well drained. Moisture plays a crucial role in growing beautiful Hosta plants - you will need to water plants during prolonged dry spells. Feed in very early spring with a top dressing of composted manure and bone meal. Liquid feed at least twice during the growing season with seaweed extract or fish emulsion. forms bright gold tufts of tightly compact, very small leaves. It is a very fast
grower and perfect for edging along paths or walkways. Its compact habit also makes it
perfect for tucking in between other shade loving perennials. The flowers are a nice
shade of vivid purple which contrast very well with the brilliant gold leaves. We
