Hosta 'Honey Bells'

Hosta 'Honeybells' This very nice green Hosta is a tough as they come. Considered to be one of the best Hostas for growing in full sun which actually improves the plants glossy texture. Flowers are extremely fragrant and are a magnet for honeybees and hummingbirds. The lavender blooms start to appear in early summer. Honeybells is a long time favorite among perennial gardeners and is considered to be a classic Hosta.

Hostas prefer partial to full shade and a good rich garden soil that is moist but well drained. Moisture plays a crucial role in growing beautiful Hosta plants - you will need to water plants during prolonged dry spells. Feed in very early spring with a top dressing of composted manure and bone meal. Liquid feed at least twice during the growing season with seaweed extract or fish emulsion.
