Hostas prefer partial to full shade and a good rich garden soil that is moist but well drained. Moisture plays a crucial role in growing beautiful Hosta plants - you will need to water plants during prolonged dry spells. Feed in very early spring with a top dressing of composted manure and bone meal. Liquid feed at least twice during the growing season with seaweed extract or fish emulsion. This little garden gem is quickly
becoming one or best selling Hostas. Fire and Ice has small heart shaped leaves with
pure white centers and very contrasting dark green margins. With a height of only 18
inches and a mature spread of around 30 inches this Hosta is perfect for edging pathways
or planting at the front of perennial borders. Fire and Ice needs shade to look its
best - to much sun and the leaves begin to show signs of sun scald. Very popular!
