Hosta 'Earth Angel' Hosta of the Year 2009

Hosta of the Year 2009 The American Hosta Growers Association named Earth Angel as Hosta of the Year for 2009 and you can't blame them. This incredible Hosta is a garden giant growing to 30 inches in height with a spread of nearly 4 feet. Plants have large blue-green leaves with golden margins that turn a creamy white as the summer progresses. The leaves are huge, measuring 9 inches wide and a foot long. We sold our very early last year so order early if want this amazing plant.

Plants prefer partial to full shade and a good rich garden soil that is moist but well drained. Moisture plays a crucial role in growing beautiful Hostas- you will need to water plants during prolonged dry spells. Feed in very early spring with a top dressing of composted manure and bone meal.
